Hello. I’m Danelle.
I am a graphic designer, a wannabe baker and a wedding, letterpress and craft enthusiast.
Little baby Danelle was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1986 and a few years later moved to the sunny Bay of Plenty. I spent most of my time at school, at the park or at Mount Maunganui Beach (gosh I miss that beach!).
I was lucky enough to know from a very early age what I wanted to do as a career. Graphic Design. From the age of 13 I planned out every class I took throughout high school in preparation for going to study graphic design.
After high school I moved to the foggy Waikato to get my Bachelor of Media Arts degree, majoring in Graphic Design from Waikato Institute of Technology. During my three years of study I worked at an art supplies store which was right up my alley! Boy do I miss that staff discount! I worked there for a further year and a bit after I graduated, until I finally realised that I should be putting my degree to good use.
I then got offered a job as a Graphic Designer in an in-house team at Opus International Consultants, a mutli-disciplinary consultancy company. I worked in the Hamilton office for a year and a half before my talented other half got offered a fantastic job opportunity in Auckland. I spoke with some people in the Auckland office of Opus and ended up being able to transfer there. It all worked out really well! The job is great and allows me to do some other marketing and events work as well as the graphic design.
In the past few years I have become more and more obsessed with all things wedding, letterpress and stationery related. Every day I am finding more inspiration and have had the opportunity to work on some really fun projects. I hope to keep that up!
